From the Business Record Daily PM on Oct 10, 2016

Many Iowa teachers integrate agriculture into their classroom to enrich student learning experiences and apply various academic subjects. Through an awards program of the Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation, those teachers can be recognized for their efforts. The Iowa Excellence in Teaching about Agriculture Award is open to teachers of pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The selected Iowa teacher will receive $500 to support classroom instruction, and up to $1,000 to cover expenses to attend the 2017 National Agriculture in the Classroom conference to be held in Kansas City, Mo., in June. Applications will be accepted through early November, and the winner will be selected and recognized in January. For more information and to apply, click here.
