DMACC’s Goldston wins regional STEM award

Harold Goldston, a Des Moines Area Community College Urban campus chemistry instructor, has received the Excellence in Motivating Students in STEM Award from the Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska STEM Partnership for Innovation in Research Education and the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation. Goldston has taught chemistry at DMACC since May 2012. He helped start the STEM Club at the Urban campus. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
