From FORTUNE Magazine: AMES, Iowa —Ames-based Workiva just ranked No. 4 on the 10 Best Large Workplaces in Technology list by Fortune Magazine and Great Places to Work.

The company created the Wdesk cloud-based productivity platform.

“Workiva, an Iowa-born enterprise software company, understands the cost of doing business — from transportation to phone bills, and even the cost on employee health. So to make sure its employees have the resources they need to get the job done, the company offers them a range of discounts for things like car rentals, gym memberships, phone plans, and even taxi rides after a work function,” reads the Fortune article.

The list was created after 48,000 workers at 115 companies were surveyed by Great Place to Work.  The ranking is based on a number of factors including career development opportunities, risk-taking, work-life balance, compensation and recognition, transparency, camaraderie, and other factors.

“At Workiva, we are progressive in everything we do, from how we invent software solutions to how we serve our customers to how we treat our employees,” said Matt Rizai, Workiva Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in a news release.

“Workiva is growing at a rapid pace due in large part to its focus on creating technology solutions with inspired, engaged and passionate employees,” said Brian Waller, President of the Technology Association of Iowa in a news release. “Everyone I talk to who visits Workiva’s Ames office wishes that they worked there too.”
